Clinical Director Reflection: JA Health & Wellness Open House
Written By: Fran DaLomba, LICSW, MSW, Clinical Director
Though the weather didn’t hold up, a little rain did not get in the way of our Open House Celebration on June 22, 2026. We welcomed community partners, supporters, and guests into Justice Assistance’s new JA Health & Wellness. I was reminded that this clinic represents so much more than a new healthcare facility—it represents hope, dignity, and opportunity.
For many of the individuals we serve, accessing healthcare has never been simple. Transportation, insurance, stigma, and the lasting impact of justice involvement often create barriers that prevent people from receiving the care they deserve. Our vision was to remove those barriers by creating a place where individuals can access integrated primary care, behavioral health, substance use treatment, wellness services, and care coordination under one roof.
Seeing our community walk through our doors and witness that vision firsthand was both humbling and inspiring. Since opening, our team has already provided more than 1,650 appointments, demonstrating the tremendous need for accessible, compassionate, and coordinated care in our community.
The Open House was also an opportunity to celebrate the partnerships that made this milestone possible. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff, community partners, donors, and especially Papitto Opportunity Connection for believing in our mission to restore health, hope, and opportunity.
As Clinical Director of JA Health & Wellness, I am incredibly proud of what we have built together. This is only the beginning. Every individual who walks through our doors deserves to be seen beyond their circumstances and given the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive. We look forward to continuing this work—one person, one family, and one life at a time.
